Youth Services

Looking at options to engage with the youths of today

As adults it is easy to remember back to our childhood when we did not have the access to the Internet as easily as we do not, when we have more youth clubs and activities available to take part in at no or minimal costs or get up to activities such as cycling (sometimes having a race around the block) during an era when traffic was a lot lighter.

The themes and activities that the young these days want need to be discussed with the various age groups to work out what we need to provide to help have a positive focus for their time. We also need to ensure activities are affordable as we see so many people struggling with the cost of living so the ability to go out to as frequent is impacted.

We also need to look at how we can better support groups that helped kids get involved with their local community such as the guides/scouts, St John Ambulance cadets, armed forces youth divisions as well as more sports clubs and teams gain vital experience in life skills and developing friendships that they can rely on in years to come.
